2012 WALKS

Here is a full listing of our adventures in 2012. Unfortunately our Dad was ill during end of 2011 and early 2012, so we did not start our campaign until February, but we look forward to a good number of adventures during the rest of the year. By the end of 2011, of the Birkett challenge, we had just one summit to achieve, namely Pen on the Eskdale side of Scafell Pike. To reach this will be our prime objective this year. We also carry forward from last year the aim for our pal Little Eric to climb his remaining 9 outstanding Howgill and associated fells, so that he can complete that challenge.

From late 2021 to early 2023, we undertook a rewrite the majority of these stories, improving and adding extra pictures and information. We hope you will enjoy reading some of our enhanced accounts.
